The Jireh Foodbank- Support for Communities

We provide a wide range of events so that members of the community can experience growing closer to Jesus and be a part of something great.

One of the many ways the church portrays God's love for us is through the Jireh food bank which was established in May 2013 and has fed countless people since then. Some of the surgeries in Streatham refer their patients through a voucher system to receive food items from the foodbank. The Jireh food bank has held many events, which takes place bi-weekly every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, where members of the community can come in, have some light refreshments and take a food bag home. The food bank also holds an annual Christmas Carol programme which takes place in December in the ground floor hall of Streatham Library. The church provides sleeping bags, hot food, drinks, books and occasionally clothes which have been donated to the community and the homeless. During this programme, there is also a raffle draw and the money collected is doubled by the church before being donated to a different nominated charity each year. Charities such as the Diabetic society, Cancer research, the Sickle Cell society and The Ukrainian war to mention a few
